The rumours are true, God has favorites. We knew it was true when we saw him perform live on Tate McRae’s THINK LATER World Tour. His name is Presley Regier, and we’ve been obsessed ever since. Since the day they dropped, we’ve been locked into his songs ‘HAVE YOUR WAY,’ ‘NEVERMIND,’ and ‘They Know I’m Bored.’ But, we’ve also been looking forward to something new from Presley. Today our prayers were answered with ‘i love you etc.’ and ‘God’s favorite.’
Listen to both of the new tracks here!

‘I Love You Etc.’
This track opens with everything you already love about Presley – an intoxicating beat that keeps you hooked with a twinge of vengeful lyrics that Presley is known for sneaking into his songs.
“‘i love you etc.’ was a follow up to ‘Questions,’ which was about leaning into uncertainties. ‘i love you etc’ was reflecting on ‘now that I have you, I can’t lose you,’ and it was very reflective of what was going on in my life. I wanted to portray the two different sides of it – half of me caring so deeply and the other half bracing for the fact that this person might leave me. The verses of the song are painting this picture of a very physical interaction, but when it gets to the chorus, it’s opening up to where my doubt comes in.”
Presley stated about the song in a press release.
‘I love you etc.’ is all about realizing that the person you’re in love with may not be as in love with you as you are with them. “I’d rather bleed than say goodbye,” Presley sings. This song also gives us some new vocals that we’ve yet to hear from Presley, and the track ends with a deeply satisfying synth production that we could listen to forever. This one is definitely being added to our new playlists!
‘God’s Favorite’
Presley truly proves why he’s God’s favorite on this second track.
“‘God’s favorite’ is an interesting one, with a completely different energy and unlike anything I’ve ever really made before. It’s the arrogant brother of ‘i love you etc,’ and stemmed from situations I had been thinking about – whether it’s fans, people I know, everybody has something to say about me, and the bigger I get, the more people will have to say. So, the justification was, ‘if you have something to say, I must be God’s favorite’ – I’m not going to get bothered by these words that you’re saying, and you don’t have a place to speak on who me as a person because you don’t know who I really am.”
Presley stated about the song in a press release.
The lyrics are a true standout on ‘God’s favorite.’ “I bathe in peace while you die in violence,” Presley sings. This hit just a little too hard…we’ll definitely be spiraling over this song for days to come.
If these two new songs are any indication of what’s to come for Presley Regier, we are so excited. We’re ready for a new era full of deep lyrics and experimental production.
