We had LE SSERAFIM, IVE, ITZY, TXT, SHINee, ZEROBASEONE, and so many more take on this challenge and kill it every time. ‘Mantra‘ was everywhere when it was released, but nothing comes even near the virality of ‘like JENNIE’ with its witty, powerful choreography. More than ever before, Jennie’s impact was palpable.
The Remix
It’s been over a month since the release of Ruby, but Jennie is still all we think about. While ‘like JENNIE’ went viral everywhere, Jennie was getting ready for the next milestone: her first solo Coachella set. And what’s better than to release a remix of ‘like JENNIE’ a few days before this historic moment? Peggy Gou gave a whole new life to the song with this remix, and it fits perfectly for a festival. The song sounds even more energetic, and the remix makes it impossible to not dance around to it. With such an iconic song like this one, making a remix can always be a gamble, but Peggy Gou was the perfect choice because this one hits right where remixes should hit. This song can only always slay.
