‘kill for me always’ is a poetic pop-rock ballad that beautifully depicts what it’s like to lose someone who once meant everything to you, but is now someone you have no choice but to consider an enemy. “Can’t you see? We broke the truce, and now here come the enemies.” Porter’s verse adds to this narrative by touching on what it’s like to live in the shadows of the idea someone has built about you. Not only that, but also what it’s like trying to be that person before you inevitably have to call it quits. “I colored my blood so you’d see what I want you to see. And I can’t sleep in the shadows of statues you’ve built out of me.”

Michael Clifford didn’t come to play when it comes to ‘kill for me always,’ and he isn’t coming to play when it comes to SIDEQUEST in general!
