Kicking off our June K-Pop Hotspot is B.I‘s third studio album, WONDERLAND. With 11 incredible new songs, B.I has fed us with a masterpiece of a comeback.’ Ferris wheel,’ his title track with Heize, is a reflective and melodic piece. He looks back at his musical journey, all the steps he’s taken to get to the place of peace he’s in right now. This song exudes comfort, and Heize’s feature amplifies it. Our absolute favorite b-sides are ‘To the moon,’ ‘Hug me,’ and ‘Romance.’

You wouldn’t believe this next June K-Pop release is actually a debut! USPEER’s debut single, SPEED ZONE, has two back-to-back bangers. The title track, ‘ZOOM,’ is a high-energy summer single about being at the starting line and hitting the ground running. ‘Telepathy’ keeps up with the speed for a groovy b-side that has officially been stuck in our heads. We’ll keep our eyes on these girls to see where they’ll go from here!

Doyoung always spoils us with his solo comebacks! His second album, Soar, features 10 songs that showcase just how talented Doyoung’s vocals are. (Not that we needed the reminder.) The title track, ‘Memory,’ is the type of song you’d listen to while running through fields. Doyoung’s album gives us a sense of freedom, a feeling that will help us prepare for his pending enlistment.

GHOST9 JUNSEONG
As if the viral TikTok sound hasn’t been stuck in our heads enough, GHOST9‘s Junseong has given us his own version of ‘Melty Love!’ It’s a catchy track paired with his silky smooth vocals. The instrumental version is just as addictive. We’ve heard so many variations of this sound, but Junseong may be one of our favorites!

Do our ears deceive us? MAMAMOO’s Solar has just released a new Chinese single, ‘Floating Free’ with 9m88! This duo has created a masterpiece together, singing about the thrills of life and forgetting everything that holds us down. ‘Floating Free’ has officially made it to the top of our summer playlists, and we absolutely plan on jamming to this track all season long.

n.SSign came at us with ‘Itty Bitty,’ and we wonder if they knew just how obsessed we would get with it. Sometimes, songs are an instant hit in our eyes (and ears), and this one is definitely one of those. And n.SSign thought one song was not enough, and we fully agreed. When we love an artist’s work, we are happy when we get a bunch of tracks to go crazy over. ‘SHAKE & BAKE’ is also another addictive song that will surely help you get more into the group if you aren’t already. The fun just doesn’t stop with this release. And lastly, this special album concludes with an English version of one of their iconic tracks, ‘Love Potion.’ We truly feel special to have all of these gems, and we won’t be over them anytime soon, if ever.

With every new comeback, ARTMS never fails to impress us with their artistry and concept. <Club Icarus> is a certified no-skips EP. ILLIT is back with bomb, a mini-album full of summer bops. The title track, ‘Do the Dance,’ has a fresh, funky vibe that makes us want to host a solo dance party. We also love the bits of French in the lyrics. The girls have also blessed us with so many new remixes of ‘Do the Dance’ for every mood! The b-sides are just as versatile, and our favorites are ‘little monster’ and ‘jellyous.’

June has been a stellar month for K-POP solo artists! Kang Daniel is back with his sixth mini-album, Glow to Haze! He sings about being in love with someone who’s playing hard to get in his title track, ‘Episode.’ And the whimsical and chaotic music video is everything! One thing about Daniel: his b-sides are just as high quality as his title tracks. We’ve been so obsessed with ‘Love Game’ and ‘Little Bit Lost’ lately.

Next on our list of June K-Pop comebacks is Yugyeom‘s second LP, Interlunar. The album title makes so much sense, considering we love him to the moon and back! ‘Shall We Dance’ is everything we needed in a title track, from the groovy instrumental to Yugyeom’s soft vocals. He even blessed us with a healing music video for ‘Interlunar.’ With 10 versatile new songs, this album is a testament to his growth as a solo artist. No one can deny his range. We strongly recommend listening from start to finish because you won’t be disappointed!

We can’t believe this is only Yook Sungjae‘s first mini-album, but let’s celebrate! All About Blue is an incredible EP from start to finish, and his songs will always hit home for us. Every song on this mini-album suits our style, and we especially love ‘a millisecond’ and ‘Weightless!’

Two killer girl group debuts in one month? Count us in! PNATION’s new girl group, Baby DONT Cry, just dropped their debut single, F Girl! The title track ‘F Girl’ is the ultimate teenage rock anthem. He sings a seductive song, inviting his lover to a simple dance. The choreography ties this track all together, once again highlighting his talents as a main dancer.

CRAVITY
CRAVITY did it again, and this time with a full album! The group ensured not only that we’d be satisfied with Dare to Crave but also that we’d fall in love with it. ‘SET NET G0?!’ is tickling a certain part of our brains, making us lose ourselves to the vibe. We simply want to break into a dance as soon as the hook comes up. Aside from the title track, Dare to Crave is packed with top-tier songs.
One of the highlights is the three unit songs, each with a different aura and sound to explore. To add to that, there’s plenty more to discover on the album. We love a good ‘Underdog’ song, and CRAVITY came prepared with this bop of a B-side. And if you want an absolutely beautiful song, we highly recommend ‘Wish Upon A Star.’ If we continue, we’ll list the rest of the songs, so we’ll stop here and leave you craving more. In particular, our pop-punk-loving hearts were extremely pleased with ‘Love=Disaster,’ and if we had to name a current favorite B-side, that might have to be the one.

XODIAC‘s first unit, X-UNIT, is giving us major throwback vibes. The nostalgia is so real, and it’s all thanks to their title track ‘Because I am Stupid.’ For older K-drama fans, you will immediately recognize the song from its first beat. Yes, this is THAT song from the hit show Boys Over Flowers. Bringing us a remake of a much-loved soundtrack gives it a whole new feeling and gives us a whole new experience. We are streaming this so much already, and it’s proving just how well we remember the lyrics. Trust us, you’re about to fall in love with this unit and its vocal-focused work. To. U will captivate your auditory senses with all of its tracks.

June was packed with so many summer bangers. H1-KEY understood the assignment and joined the party with their ‘Summer Was You.’ The girls’ powerful vocals shine in this track, capturing a beautiful moment in time and making it both a song full of joy and one with a touch of nostalgia. They compare all the lovely moments filled with life, like shining past memories and dreams, to summer, but also the one that makes you feel like you can live all your dreams out. A little bittersweet and fully a bop, this title track is easily one of our favorites from the group so far.

WONHO‘s ‘Better Than Me’ is not just a pre-release to get us ready for his upcoming album. It feels like a whole main track, and we refuse to treat it as anything less. And wow, WONHO tapped into that nostalgic boy band sound perfectly, giving us a taste of the past through something brand new. We are swooning, admittedly very obsessed with the whole sound of ‘Better Than Me,’ that we can’t shut up about it. The only thing we’re a bit sad about is that the song is under two minutes because we need more of it. Good things shouldn’t have an ending, but that’s how we appreciate them even more, right? And we’d be doing that a lot with ‘Better Than Me’ through streams, lots of streams.

POW is back and with such a lovely and pleasant new EP: Being Tender. You can clearly hear POW’s youthful, refreshing energy in this comeback, and we just know you will appreciate their sound. But don’t forget to also watch their ‘Being Tender’ music video to fully immerse yourself in the feeling they aim to portray. Not to mention how cute and soft it is, especially when their co-star is a beautiful cat. You wouldn’t want to skip that. And we will always encourage giving a listen to an artist’s full release, but if we had to give our recommendation on what you definitely shouldn’t miss, we’d pick ‘Celebrate.’
