Haas has brought a major upgrade to the United States Grand Prix as one of just two teams introducing new parts.
The Sprint format of the race weekend at COTA has limited the number of developments that teams brought to Austin in the past, but that is emphasized this year by the by the majority of the grid’s focus on 2026 regulations.
That means that aside from Haas, only Mercedes has submitted a new component, with an update to the rear corner that sees the “upper lip camber reduced to improve local flow quality around top wishbone, and winglet span reduced to increase tire clearance.”
For Haas, however, a substantial update has been developed for its home grand prix, as the team looks to remain in the fight for sixth place in the constructors’ championship.
Central to the upgrade is a new floor, with the floor body, floor fences and floor edge all redesigned. The team says this builds on the upgrade introduced in Silverstone by refining the floor fences and outboard edge to increase aerodynamic load, with a focus on high-speed corner performance.
A refined rear corner winglet has also been brought to Austin to work in parallel with the new floor, while Haas has also tweaked the mirror stay on its sidepod to improve flow alignment.
Haas will have just one practice session on Friday to validate the upgrade ahead of Sprint qualifying on Friday afternoon at Circuit of the Americas.
